Im Arturo Herrera, and I am a naturalist guide in Tortuguero, Costa Rica. I take great pride in sharing my knowledge and love for this incredible region with visitors from all over the world.

Tortuguero is a place of remarkable biodiversity, and I am passionate about showcasing its wonders to those who visit. From the nesting sea turtles on our pristine beaches to the vibrant birdlife that fills the rainforest with their melodies, there is always something awe-inspiring to discover.

What sets me apart as a guide is my ability to connect with people on a personal level. I believe that everyone, regardless of their background or level of knowledge, should have the opportunity to learn and appreciate nature. I adapt my explanations and tours to cater to each individual’s interests and understanding, ensuring that everyone has a rewarding and educational experience.

What does Bio-Eco Adventures mean [Biology, Ecotourism & Adventures] means.

MAIN OBJECTIVES :
Helping to Protect nesting Turtles beaches for the 4  species of sea turtles landing in our National Park: Green Sea TURLES (Chelonia mydas), Leatherback Turtle (Dermochelys coriacea ), Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), Loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta).
Protect important populations of endangered species.
Protect the habitat of the manatee (Trichechus manatus), which is one of Costa Rica’s rarest and most endangered mammals.
Protect the habitat of the largest feline in the Americas Jaguar(Pantera Onca). Tortuguero has one of the largest populations in Costa Rica and a well-established research program.

Manuel Antonio National Park is a natural conservation area located on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, in the canton of Quepos, Puntarenas province. The park is located about 157 km south of the capital city of San José.
Arenal Volcano National Park It is located in the province of Alajuela. It has an area of 12,124 hectares. It consists mainly of two hills, namely Arenal Volcano and Cerro Chato. It is located in the Arenal Huetar Norte Conservation Area (ACAHN).
